Mountain Island Charter School is happy to offer its students a variety of on-site, before/after school enrichment programming




What programs do you offer?

Year round, we offer  private piano/voice lessons, and drop-in and private art lessons.


When can I register?




Register for Quarter 2: NOW until Nov 10


Register for Quarter 3: January 15 – January 27


Register for Quarter 4: April 1 - April 13




How do I register?


Online registration links are available on each program page.  Please look to the sidebar (right) for a full listing of programming.  You are able to register within the posted registration period.




How do I pay?


Checks, cash and credit payments are available.  Please make checks payable to "Mountain Island Charter School" and write the child and program name in the memo line. Payment may be sent in with your child in his/her communication folder, or you may drop it off at the Front Office.  Please label all envelopes "Attn: Enrichment Programs", as well as your child's name and teacher.

***If you wish to use credit you must register early enough to be invoiced before the first class. You will then be able to pay using credit. If you register late you will have to pay by cash or check as payment must be received before the first class***


Is there a registration fee?


There is an annual, per family registration fee of $25.00. This fee establishes firm commitment and provides start-up funding for our programs. Please note: If you have already paid this fee for 2017-18 Before/After School Care registration, you do not need to pay it again.




How long is each session?


Each session correlates to the four quarters of the school year. Each session consists of 6 or more sessions that typically run for 45 minutes to one hour. Two additional weeks are available in the event that a make-up class is necessary.




What about refunds?


All of these programs will require minimum and maximum student enrollment numbers in order to adequately fund the program and ensure proper instructor-to-student ratio. In order to staff these programs, refunds (and partial refunds) will not be issued due to student absence. In the event that the program is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be issued a full refund.



How will my student get from his/her class to an enrichment program?


All students attending an enrichment program will be remain in the classroom or designated location until an Enrichment Program instructor or staff member arrives to escort your child to class. Please remember to record attendance of these programs in your child's homework planner so your child's teacher is aware.




What should my child bring?


We ask that students bring a snack and drink, as well as comfortable shoes and clothing. Hats, bottled water, and sunscreen are suggested for outdoor activities.




Where do I pick up my child after the program/club is over?


Before the first day of the program, you will receive important dismissal information via email from the instructor that will confirm the pick-up location. Need another option? What if I'm running late?


Ten minutes after the end of the enrichment program, your child will be escorted to the After School Care program.

Payment for his/her attendance in ASC is required.

The drop-in rate is $21/day.
