The Board is seeking candidates with specific experience and skills that will support the work done within the MICS Board Committees. In anticipation of board needs in the 2026-2027 school year, preferred candidates must have experience in accounting, financial management or a related field. Preferred candidates may also possess experience in executive leadership, governance and/or K-12 educational settings. Candidates are encouraged to review the descriptions of the MICS Board Committees found HERE. Board members serve on two committees and are expected to provide 10-20 hours of service each month, with regular attendance at monthly board meetings and committee meetings.
Interviews will take place in January/February 2026. New Board members will be selected in March, officially starting their three-year term in July 2026. New Board members will be expected to attend Board Meetings in April, May, and June 2026 to facilitate their transition to the Board.
